The ThinkPad X1 combines the performance of a tower PC with the handiness of a tablet and the mobile productivity of a notebook. You can either use the X1 on its own as a tablet or as a fully-fledged, productive notebook with the included slim ThinkPad keyboard. The Intel Core m7 processor is based on the efficient 14 nm architecture of the Skylake family. It has a base clock rate of 1.2 GHz, which it can boost up to 3.1 GHz under higher load. Thus, it combines a battery-saving low base power consumption with a lot of performance on demand. In notebook mode, you’ll enjoy the full feature set of the popular ThinkPad keyboard, including trackpad and the popular Trackpoint mouse replacement that lets you move the cursor without taking your hand off the keyboard. In tablet mode, an optionally available digitizer pen can be used to quickly and precisely navigate the user interface, create drawings or annotate. Thanks to the “WRITEit” technology, you can fill in the fields in hundreds of supported apps by handwriting. The software automatically recognizes and corrects your entries. Internet access in broadband speed allows you the fast standards 802.11ac WLAN in local networks as well as 4G/LTE in mobile networks. Expand the internal storage of the Lenovo X1 via one of the USB ports with a USB mass storage device or use the integrated microSD card reader. With separately available modules, you can expand the X1 Tablet with the features you need: for example, you can extend the battery life with the productivity module and gain additional connections. The presentation module comes with an integrated pico projector and HDMI input/output.
